If you donate to Empower online, make sure you have the right Empower International.
There seem to be several ministries named Empower International or something similar, and I have been getting email intended for some of them. I have a message on our “donate” page warning people of this – but it occurred to me that the other sites do not, and they may be getting messages and donations intended for us. If this happens, we will never know about your kindness, and cannot thank you personally.
If you Google “Empower,” you may well end up at someone else’s site. If you make a donation via Paypal, you will get a receipt that looks like it is from us. Please check your receipt. We are based in Orange, California. We will also write a real letter to personally thank you, so look for a familiar name if you receive a statement in the mail.
Frankly, even some of our volunteers get our name confused.
