Our ministry in India continues to thrive Partners led seminars for 200 people

We’re so grateful for the work of our partners in Nagaland, located in northern India, who recently conducted several New Man, New Woman, New Life seminars. Thanks to you, our generous donors, we were able to provide copies of this curriculum to our trainers there.

Empower partners Apokla Ben and Bendang Toshi are based in Guwahati, Assam, which is the largest city in northern India. They were initially trained at a seminar we conducted in their city several years ago. You can read about our visit to India here.

Rev. Ben and his wife Apokla regularly lead New Man, New Woman, New Life seminars. Their son, Imcha Yanger, recently completed his masters of divinity degree, and works alongside his parents in ministry.

Most recently, they hosted a total of nearly 200 people for four seminars in Longpang and Hukphang, Nagaland. Nagaland’s population is primarily Christian, but quite patriarchal, so the message of Biblical equality challenges their perceptions, but is acutely needed.

Johnny and Koki Desai, who trained and equipped Apokla and Ben, have also been conducting seminars. They write, “Pray for us all. We did two family enrichment seminars in May. Most of the participants were excited to know about woman as Ezer. This is a great honor for women. Also hypotasso and hypokouo were great eye openers.

“There were ten couples in each seminar.”
