Thank you so much for your continuing support! We’re excited about Empower’s growth, and optimistic about the future!
Because of your generosity, we have been able to equip churches, families and whole communities to love and care for one another better. As the year comes to an end, we’d like to ask you to give to our year-end fund campaign. Our goal is to raise $8000.
Our year-end fund will jump start our 2018 ministry year, enabling us to continue the good work we are doing:
Through our Created to Belong and Healing from Trauma seminars, we train caregivers and those impacted by trauma (whether of loss, disease, grief). We help orphan caregivers to know how to deal with the emotional and spiritual challenges the children in their care experience. We also help those directly affected by trauma to move toward wholeness and healing.
Our New Man, New Woman, New Life seminar brings the healing truth of mutual respect and biblical equality to people trapped in patriarchy and unhealthy hierarchy that hurts men, women and families. The changes in people’s lives as a result of the training are dramatic and immediate.
You can read about the many ways we touched lives around the globe in our detailed 2017 Year End Newsletter here. (If you are on our mailing list, you’ll receive a copy in the mail very soon as well.)
We see the work we’re doing bearing fruit, and feel called to continue it in 2018. In order to say yes to opportunities to build up families and caregivers, teaching on both biblical equality and healing from trauma, we need your help. Your tax-deductible gift will help us continue our work.
Between now and December 31, our goal is to raise $8000. We can only reach this ambitious goal with God’s help—and your participation. Any gift, large or small, will change lives.
Our goal is always to empower the people we teach—equipping them to teach the content themselves. This happened beautifully in Limuru, Kenya, this year, where after several visits over the last two years, the Master Class graduates taught the New Man, New Woman, New Life seminar completely on their own. Read the details on our blog.
This is always our goal in every place we visit: to equip local participants to themselves become teachers of the material, so that the message can spread organically.
However, even when local teachers lead the seminar, and participants pay a small registration fee, we still provide financial support. In order to continue doing that, we need your help.
