A poem on women’s past, present and future by Patrick Tumwizere, Uganda

I hope you enjoy this message from Patrick Tumwizere, who participated in the New Man, New Woman, New Life seminar and master class in Kampala with Mrs. Margaret Kiswiriri.

Praise the Lord Mama Auntie Margret,

Hope you and your family are doing well. I have always felt i was indebted to you
and the entire team of trainers of Empower International for imparting
sound doctrine and deeper insights into us as regards the Original
Intention and Design of Events by our Heavenly Father and God right
from the Creation.

Truth be told you have always blessed our lives with great knowledge
that gives us a broader understanding even to the topics that we
thought we had an idea about. We’re forever grateful & i encourage you
and your entire team to keep keeping on because that is one of the
major areas that require a dynamic shift especially in the
perceptions/thinking of most of our people here in Africa and Uganda
in particular.

I have attached a piece of writing here for you in form of a poem that
i wrote during the international women’s day celebrations-hope you be
blessed as you read through it’s lines..

A WOMAN’S PPF (PAST, PRESENT & FUTURE)

Bought before Birth & at birth an infamy

             Grew up to no inheritance

Was confined only to the kitchen

Her earthly duty to reproduce & satisfy maniacal selfish needs

Dying to be forgotten, just dust back to dust

All this from time immemorial was woman’s only description

Not so any more, with the advent of Education

               Both formal & informal

With which came enlightment and freedom

At the dawn of emancipation whose fruits we now see

The realization that both male & female bear qualities unbiased

Meet for both National & Global Development

            Women’s Present Depiction

God above invested talent beneath

They exploited potential & greatness was born

History was changed, the present impacted to

Transform the future

Their names on the Headlines

Fast Inzikuru, Rich Maggie Kigozi to mention but a few

Not forgetting our very own Mother Figures in our lives

Who undoubtedly sacrificed their all for us

To turn us into the MEN we’re today

Hilary By Clinton, Michelle by Obama, Janet by Museveni

Great men beside whom noble women have rallied

             To change history forever

What more shall we say

Remarkable evidences of the impact of women investment

To be traced in many a woman, women who have marked the land

And alongside men made the world complete

Never again to remain the same

       Women’s present distinction

Educating the girl child to educate the nation

       Long Live the African Woman

Long Live all the Women in our Nation-Uganda

Many Thanks
The Gracious & Compassionate God Richly Reward you for your Labour

Patrick Tumwizere
