Training transforms pastors in Uganda Thanks to you, marriages are refreshed

Thanks to your generous giving, the lives of pastors and their wives were transformed by our recent training in Uganda. We’re delighted to report that after months of restrictions due to the pandemic, we are slowly beginning to conduct in person trainings again. And these trainings are bearing much fruit!

Joyce Ouko congratulates Pastor Stephen, host for the training.

“God is using Empower to help the Church in Africa, Uganda in particular stand in this time when the enemy is on the attack on the Church starting with the Pastor’s family,” reports Joyce Ouko, President of Empower/Uganda.

When these pastors understand what the Bible really says about men and women, marriage and family, their relationships change for the better. Not just within the family, but in the churches they lead, as they begin to share the truth with others.

Last month, Joyce and her husband Julius, along with Mike Kinyera and Pastor Vicky, were warmly welcomed by Pastor Stephen and his wife Scovia in Arua City for a New Man, New Woman, New Life training for pastors and their wives. A total of 38 people attended the training.

Many of these pastors have years of experience and advanced degrees, but testified that the training provided new and transformative information. Many of the participants joyfully reported that the training refreshed their marriage. You can see the joy on their faces!
